I wrote this song, thinking about all the time we spent in "fields of green" -- lying down together on the IC football field watching the stars or the hanging out oustide in the beautiful Minnesotan summer weather of Willmar. The chorus says, "I would rewrite every sad song for you," and it's absolutely true. I would do anything to make you smile and bring you joy (even give you reason to let out one of those obnoxiously loud laughs). Sorry for all the weird and contorted facial expressions when I sang this. It's not my best stage performance. I was really nervous!
